Last 2 Days Hunts, Local Parks, Token, Clad, Crud

Felt like pulling some coins, so I spent some time at a local park, along the creek, and around the old train depot. Pulled a bunch of coins, 50 of the pennies came from a spill found in an alley near the old train station. Most of the rest came from the park. Total of 155 coins, $4.75 total.

Also found a brass token - AA Serenity prayer from Alliance Hospital of Santa Teresa, an old pocket knive, and a whatzit that looks like and alien sculpture

And a few odds and ends - more toenail clippers (thanks, I don't need any more), a Jaguar XJ-S and taxi, two junk rings, and some other misc.

I also noticed that another detectorist found my creek "coin flood" area - they were quite piggish about leaving big holes everywhere - I did some damage control, sure hate to see that kind of behavior.
Best of luck in the hunt to all!

Good job William, how old is the depot?I am glad that you did damage control.it only takes a few to ruin it for ever body.

Lots of odds and ends.
Good clad count also.
Congrats ..

Looks like you found a productive site William congrats !!

Thanks, guys!
Pulltaber: The Train station was the third and final location here in town. It was completed in 1915, a mission style beauty that boasted of being the finest on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe line, and in the Southwest. (photo below). I forget when the railroad pulled up it's tracks and ceased service, but the station became a warehouse and was eventually torn down in 1975, a crime against historic preservation. The town historian told me that the contractor who demolished it wanted the windows for his home. There's now a metal fabrication shop on the site, though the city still has some of it - it's been graded and filled, so slim pickings, but I did find my first Barber quarter and Buffalo nickel in the area. What a great hobby - you end up learning a lot about your town!
