Thought i would say hello from over here in the UK and let you know my thoughts on the English version of a Tesoro machine.
Our versions are all black and shipped over here from the Tesoro factory then distributed around the country's dealers.
I have been using a French machine for the last 5 years called the XP Goldmaxx MK 1, great machine and found me some good coinage especially medieval silver. I got hold of a Laser rapier with the 8x9 web coil for my wife and tried it against the XP thinking the little Laser would get blown away, i thought wrong. The black Tesoro performed and beat my goldy on Roman, Hammereds, Georgian and Victorian pennys for depth and sound quality.
Ok i set the threshold higher than normal which will effect the descrimination a little but who cares, at normal sweep speed the Laser could not be beaten, the XP struggled at normal sweep speed and i know i would have left targets in the ground. Some folks think the micro max design looks like a toy compared to the higher end machines but dont judge this book by its cover, i think the Goldmaxx has had its day in my armoury and i will add another Tesor/Laser to my collection.
