I am new to detecting and just wondering if anybody has had any luck in the las vegas area. I am stationed here and trying to get a little advise

thanks,
zack

There's an idea! Wonder were you could junt in the Vegas area.
I'm sure it's not allowed anywhere close to the strip, but would that be cool if you could hunt there? I am sure there is lots of lost coins, tokens jewelry in the ground.
It's been awhile since I have been there, and I have never seen a MT's when I was there either. I'm sure that hotel owners have bought MT's and hired people to search and retrieve stuff on there properties.

Zack.

You might want to check city ordinances on metal detecting to see if allowed anywhere around the Vegas area. Also being your a military person. You should check to see where and if you can search anywhere on your base.
When I was in the Army in the 70's, I wish I would have had a MT to search around FT. Bragg and the Fayetteville NC area.
Good luck on your quests.
Happy Holidays

ok thanks but i was more talking about outside of town, its to crowded down on the strip anyways. I never thought about going on base, just not sure if i can or not

Here in Minnesota. City and State parks are forbidden. To search private land, you need the owners permission. Laws very from state to state. Check the public library or the local police department.
