Larry;
Thanks for your insights. This is more of the Ford vs. Chevy type of argument <IMG SRC="/forums/images/wink.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=";)"> . If you will look back at the tenor of your posts you will see how ppl. were offended by them. We are here because we all like metal detecting and trying to help others to improve their finds. I am sorry that you felt ignored, not all of us use the WOT coil and sometimes it takes a while for a response to be posted by someone that does use one. When it comes to troubleshooting a problem you will start with the most basic level first and sometimes ppl will take offense feeling that they are being talked down to. This is not the case, just taking the troubleshooting process through it's paces. As you have seen, once the inflammatory retoric calmed down, Rick Vann was able to get to the root cause of his problems and is now on a whole new path with his detector.
I personally want to wish you the best in your continued process of growth and learning in the field of metal detecting.
Keep us posted on how things are going.
Rick (TN)
