larger coil

Hey guys I just got 15 x 17 inch coil and my question is has anyone every try one before and I so what kind of luck did you have with it

Not alot of information to go on,infact zero information all we are aware of is the size of the coil !! you dont mention what detector its for,what it would be used for and what experiance that you have.

The biggest downfall with such a massive big coil is that it is very heavy and also makes the detector nose heavy,another thing is that they are not the best coil for coinshooting but mainly aimed at much deeper work like relic/cache/hoard hunting.

I am trying to help as much as i can but its hard to give a real opinion on something that we dont have any facts.


ps,i forgot to mention,this is only my opinion but unless the coil was bought for a specif use and not the usual i want to go deeper than anyone else type of thought,i think it could well be put in the cupboard and forgot about after a couple of uses.

Hello guys I have a Garrett ace 250 with a 15 x 17 inch and I've been metal detecting for about two years and I'm going to be metal detection on the beach and was just wondering if anyone has every use one before and if so what kind of luck did you have with it?
