larger coil on cz3d?

I have a new Fisher 10in coil never used it.My C$ I have the 10in coil and use it all the time, pinpoint will take time to get use to.I think the Fisher 10in is not balanced very good. The Sunray coil well balanced and you will go deeper, depends on your area.Go to the FRL homepage and read Tom's write up on coils sizes.Bill Ladd did a report on the Sunray coil,I think it is on the Sunray home page, hes a good guy and can give you good info.Check everything out,I hate to see someone spend money on things like that and end up wishing they should have saved a little more and gone with a better coil.
I would go with the Sunray, its been on my 3D and has never been off.

I had one and sold it, 10 1/2". It was heavy. The places that I hunt, all I need are the 8" & 5" coils. From what I have read, you only gain about 1 1/2" to 2" of depth. If you are going to hunt beaches, then you might want to check out the bigger Sun Ray coil. Hope this helps. HH..BJ

so it sounds not good for the fisher 10,ill take a look at sunrays, the reason I'm looking into a bigger one is just to cover ground faster, the 3d is deep enough with the 8 inch coil and has a very fast response so i could scan places with a little less swinging.

Check with Bill Ladd, as he said he got very good depth, covered more ground, and it weighed the same as the 10.5. If you run into an area that is a little more trashy than the norm, just turn the sensitivity down.
