large cent

found an 1838 large cent today with my e trac which ive had for 3 weeks, also some buttons

Yes I agree... as all my LC's have major corrosion. I guess it is the fertilizer in the soil. Last weekend I found a 1798 LC that could not be identified, other than the date.... very odd!. HH Mike
