I am doing some constaruction in downtown Worcester, MA. Pretty old area of town was inc in 1722. Anyway figured I'd bring the detector down today while everyones gone. Found a large cent thats cut in half..anyone ever hear of this? Gives new meaning to the term half cent.... And I only found the one half guess I'm going to start hunting all my construction sites:yo:

People did cut the coins, just like the did with Spanish silver, and cutting in half and even into quarter pieces was done. Here is one cut in half and one cut into quarter piece.
