large and silver

I was able to break away for a couple hours today. I said a week or so ago I figured I'd be done for the year, but this is such a hard habbit to brake! I needed to clear my mind for a bit today with the last few being so overwhelming... My wife was in a horrible auto accident that Thursday and so lucky to still be hee with us, but she is doing well considering. ..Anyway I snuck away to get soe fresh air whle our daughter stayed with mom and I got out with a buddy to a house that use to be an old school house..He found silver& Indian Heads last year when he was there. They are doing some excavating there now, so we figured we'd try ...I found a 1917 merc and my first large cent.. I can't tell the date, but it is a Coronet Head, which places it between 1816-1857. This makes this coin my oldest so far.just wish I could tell what year it was.

Cool finds mate sorry to hear about your wife. Best of luck in the future.
