Just an observation, you know those u shape metal stakes that you use in the black cloth covering that is used to block weeds from growing around shrubs and flowers? Well I have those at my home and I notice that in the spring, I always have to push them back down. They seem to rise up about an inch from fall to spring. With this being true, I wonder if this holds true for coins and other stuff in the ground. Maybe water gets under these and freezes and drives them up.
