I am new to the forum, and a novice at detecting, but I do have a Bounty Hunter SharpShooter II (not as complicated of a machine as yours, but some similar features) and have just purchased a Time Ranger -- very similar to your Land Ranger. While I don't have the Time Ranger yet (it's on the way), I have read through the manual and might -- given my experience with my SharpShooter and my reading of the Time Ranger manual -- be able to help a bit. Can you be a bit more specific in your questions? I will try to help. Are you familiar with detecting and just confused by this particular machine, or are you new to detecting, and to how a metal detector even works?
I'm sure others will chime in, too, who know much more than I do about detecting.
