Land and Water?

VaBill

New member
Is there a detecor that works on land and beach but if it gets wet it wont hurt it? I know most brands claim to be waterproof other than the control box. We go to the beach every couple months and my mom wants a machine to try the beach with, but shes goofy and likely to get the whole thing wet. Thanks guys.

What's your budget and where do you intend to hunt most of the time? Will fresh water hunting be somthing that you do more or less than salt?

DetectorPro Wader....works very well in the water as well as the dry sand and the whole thing can get wet. It is very lightweight. So if mom falls down in the water, it's ok.

Is your detector machine waterproof?
Acting horrified I said "OH NO!!! Am I in water"?????
She got a worried look on her face, so I said, "yes , its waterproof" (heres your sign). Kids, gotta love em.

There are a few good ones...

Detector Pro Wader, The BeachHunterID from Whites and the Excalibur but I don't think Mom would be able to swing that beast lol...

She'll probably end up using it on fresh and salt water beaches. Light and simple is probably a must. And she's likely to try usng it around the farm too, if possible.

Bill,

My suggestion then... Buy two machines, one for land, one for water..

I have 2 for land collecting dust :) 1 for dry/wet sand also collecting dust :) I'm hooked on waterhunting with my PI :)
