What is the best detector for beach hunting in the water and the sand...lake hunting and coin shooting on land is there one detector that does it all?

If you first start off stating beach hunt in water, than I assume the machine you are inquiring about would be waterproof ? If so, it narrows it down. Salt beaches ? Narrows it down more.

Using the above, I would say the first 2 that come to mind...Excal and CZ21(20). Can hunt water and land very well. Would not be my first choices for land hunting, but at the top of the list for VLF units salt water hunting.

Lakes/rivers, go in with a Tiger Shark clean up. Then go in with a Excal for the deep stuff. Once you get used to the Tiger it is easy to distinguish iron. It will pick up the gold chains too, much better then the Excal. I love them both and the Sov GT on wet and dry sand. Why wear out an Excal on the sand? For salt water Excal in the water, and Sov GT on the beach. Why wear out an Excal on the beach?
