Lake Tahoe- geese, sun, gold-silver

Another nice day at Lake Tahoe and a different beach. Hardly anybody around until 1030 or so. This is the approach to the beach:

Water / beach rats- at least they aren't everywhere -YET:

Left out the 50 or so tabs and lids and scraps of foil. Oldest are the nickle and quarter in upper right corner--almost silver--1965:

And the goodies- 14k with small single cut diamond and I think- a silver and gold twist. Not sure what the black star is, but not valuable:

Also saw water skiers and one shot had a hot air balloon over the far side of the lake. About 80-85 tops today. Actually braved a little wading in the water -just a few coins. The MXT and Bigfoot did the deed on land and got most of the coins and the jewelry.

Jane and I hunted Pope beach last fall and had a great time. Checked in with the rangers and they said we can hunt the beaches and keep everything except historical artifacts. Beautiful area, hope to do it again this year before it snows. Great Photos.
