Lake Looter 250 - One last modification. :detecting:

I missed my pinpointing feature on the Lake Looter. I solved that problem. I installed a waterproof switch for pinpointing. I was having some trouble with my 5 inch scoop catching the targets. Now I should get the goodies on the first scoop or two. I think this is about the last thing I can do to the Looter. I'm going to hit a new beach or two this weekend. I'll post my trash and treasure next Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for looking.

I bet your wife has told you that you can't leave anything alone. You just love tearing things apart. That's great!! You have made a really fine detector. Maybe you can get a job with Garrett?
I should have given you my old White's 5000 d when it started doing crazy things. No telling what you could have done with it.

Thanks John. I was always the one at Christmas that tore into my toys to see how they worked. I couldn't get a lot of them back together. My Dad would say "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" I still take things apart after 47 years. I'm afraid if Charles Garrett made me an offer it would be pushing a broom!

One last modification? Who believes him? How about a power assisted telescoping arm or at least a refrigerated cup holder? All kidding aside, it is a nifty modification and I hope you make a killing this weekend with your new tweak.

Yeah when I was a house ape I used to take stuff apart to see what made it tick then put it back together again. I used to take old clocks apart and modify them and turn them into engines for small toy boats and stuff or to drive a pulley and run something else I had built from an erector set.
