Lake loot again....coastwise takes ride on the brig!

Well coastwise and I finally hooked up for a hunt this weekend. He has been going full time on his part time lemo job. Anyway we got in the water around 9-10am and sailed the brig to the hole. It was a little slow and coastwise got the Explorer and headed to the beach to check it out up there. He took a few action shots of me, but I never got the opportunity to reciprocate for him. Clad count was average for this location at $9.40. coastwise was getting pretty worn out from sitting in the lemo instead a hunting like a good pirate would. The hoop earring was non ferrous and unmarked as well as the stud earring. The fine chain is sterling. The ring is 14K white gold and I was mighty proud to see that fine unit. We finally left around 6-630pm. We got to stay at my aunt & uncle's trailer instead of driving home the 1st evening. We got some good fellowship and found some loot to boot! I did not have to rock coastwise to sleep last night.

This morning we decided to move to a different location that as far as we knew had not been hunted, but had what we felt was similar potential. I was moving a little slow, but finally got going and I guess we were in the lake by around 9am. We were both finding loads of pull tabs and not much else. Ended up with .30 from this location. We decided to go back to our previous hole from yesterday around 1pm.
Gulf Huntress and lady coastwise had left me urgent messages on my cell to call. coastwise's mom is near death (altzheimer's) for some time now, so we decided to cut the hunt short to get him home.

I'll try, my scoops were purchased from my local dealer Alexander Enterprises. The bucket is stainless and durable, but the handle is junk. So I throw away the handle, bought some stainless pipe and T and had my welder do his thing. That sucker is mighty heavy, but it'll break me before I break it. The bucket has split out a couple of times, but had it reinforced by same welder. Gulf Huntress cuts a little circle of galvanized wire for the bottom, so little targets like fired 22 bullets will not fall through. When in a clay base situation as in a river or lake, scoop thinly or if possible kneal down in the water and fan the sand off of the target and recover it by feel (gently as there is some knarley stuff down there). As far as headlights, I'm looking for somthing better than what I got. coastwise and I have the same headlight, but the company cannot decide whether the thing is submersible or not. My headlight MUST be submersible because I am subject at any time to stand on my head underwater and fan out a hole on a stubborn target, just ask coastwise. As far as night hunting, it is cool and there ain't a bunch of people who want to interview you and I like it that way. Stick the Excal on charge overnight, just to make sure she's good and hot. Buy the battery pack accessory if you do not have 1. There's nothing worse than to have to use the pi backup in the lake, I'm here to tell you. As far as getting shriveled up or getting tired. The water is where I was born to treasure hunt and I can go 8 hours and still not be ready to go home as long as there are some good targets coming my way. Each good target gives that rush I need for tenacious perseverence. I think you'll do fine Bruce. You got it too!

That stick their head under water?? -
with thier feet out of the water!!
Well - he says that was you out at the lake.
You got it as bad as me!!!

Anyway Coastwise filled me in on all the details
Headlamp (vortec)- scoop -
The four seater jet ski - The trolling boats Etc.

Thanks, Bruce
