Lake Hunt Yesterday

Met up with my buddy John-edmonton at the lake yesterday and hunted for 9 hours. It was a beautiful warm day and we had a great time. John's post is below and he got the find of the day with a 10k gold chain. I had a good day too. No rings or gold but I got a fair bit of clad, two nice silver chains, a 1958 George VI penny and a vintage locker tag pin, plus a cool pirate frisbee. LOL!

Here's the loot....

Nice finds Scott. It's not every day that we pull out a silver chain. And the luggage pin is actually quite cool. I like old things like that. I popped an aluminum one pint milk token from Ontario a few days ago, which amazed me. A guy just never knows what will come up were eh ? Such fun ! Continued good luck to you.

Those coins look like they are gold, is that just the camera?:detecting:

Excellent finds on the two sterling chains and wish we had dollar coins in the USA. I bought a Frisbee to carry with me when I get back to detecting and plan to use it on land to put my dirt in when I dig a plug and the dirt underneath to pour it neatly back into the hole. Plan to use the twine I use for my sifter in the water and a carbiner clip to attach to my finds pouch. Just wish the water where I detect was as clear as the lake where you and John detect. I quit using the pinpoint button on my at/pro when it is in the water after having a leak problem last year.
