Started off running a little late this morning with traffic, Home Depot & my favorite kolache shop closed for the day and met coastwise on the road to get battery backup for Excal. Finally, Gulf Huntress and myself were in the lake hunting by 1030am. It was wonderful weather and a nice se breeze and partly cloudy skies. Was running the Excal for the 1st time since last monday. The batteries were just down and it cost me about 2 hours of precious hunting time with the unit last week. We both had a great hunt and ya'll will also love her nut as well. Ended up with 22 quarters, 24 dimes, 27 nickels and 34 pennies for $9.59 (about my average at the lake). Also found a couple more arrowheads while digging my targets. When we got the gear in the truck this evening, out came the diamond testers, loupes, etc. Jewelry take was a .925 dime sized hoop, .925 w/cz necklace pendant, non-ferrous (copper) toe ring with blue flowers, unmarked silver ring (acid tested light green 65-75% purity), 10k womans ring w/aquamarine stone, 10k mens ring w/10 diamonds (almost a Gulf Hunter signature model) and a 14k mens band that I was sure would displace her hog from 2 weeks ago, but no dice 7.8 grams. I'll have to check my records, but I don't think I ever found 4 rings in 1 hunt before and never found 2 diamond rings in 1 weekend. I am so psyched! Huntress is thrashed, she has retired. She will post up her loot in the am. Ya'll are gonna love it!

You sure did a lot of digging... I have yet to try lake hunting with my water machine..
