Lake Cumberland in Kentucky .......

.... saw where they were drawing down the lake levels to keep the dam from failing until it can be repaired.

From the low water shots I saw on TV, looked like a detecting opportunity around docks, swimming areas, boat ramps, anchoring up party points. Whoo Hoooo! Good luck to those within driving distance.

About an hour away for me, however I'm sure if it would even be permitted it would require a users permit of some kind. Anyone thinking of going, be sure to call ahead and check. You can be assured if there is a dollar to be made from it, the state of KY or the Army Corp of Engineers will have their hands in it. The two lakes I detect at are both opperated by the Corp and both require a $25.00 users permit. Yep, it's a free country???:csflag:

at a reservoir, its called the winter-pull, in anticipation of the spring rainfall, a buddy and I hunted this place for three years from labor-day to memorial-day, DNR won't allow MDing during swim season, when we started hunting it was like we were the first ones to hunt it, and by february you could go out to hunt sand that was once chest deep water and not get wet, lots of rings the first two years, then other THers started to show up, now its not worth the drive to go hunt......
