ladies rouge case

DK

New member
Took my new Teknetics 4000 out today for its first hunt. Found a ladies compact case. Had found one last year in my backyard. This one is a little larger and has engraving on it. On the lid is a rose engraving, with rose engravings around the top lid edge. On the outside bottom, it says in the middle, "Luxor" and at the bottom it says "Armour and Company" "Chicago" "made in usa". Any idea how old this is and I assume it is associated with the old Armour and Company meat packing company, which operated in Chicago up until around 1959. And input would be appreciated.

Here is one patented in 1925. Not sure if its the same one, I believe this one had a mirror on it.

Thanks for the info Taz42o. That kind of looks like mine, except the mirror is full. I will try and post a pic later to maybe help identify it. I think it is either from the '20s or in the '40s or '50s. Would like to find out for sure just for info sake.
