Monte you are right they did make the change to HOTHEAD Ferret Coil.
<span style="background-color:#ffff00;">To KELLYCO I owe an apology for flapping my gums before I had all the facts. </span>
Here is KELLYCO's reply to my e-mail regarding the EXcelerator Coil (ahem Ferret Coil).
Butch,
I received your e-mail concerning the 5

<span style="background-color:#ffff00;">"what you received was an excelerator. They have made some marketing changes and are switching the name from excelerators to the hotheads"</span>
So now ExCelerators will be called Hotheads? <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

And he informed me that they would be changing the name of the EXcelerator Line to HOTHEAD. It has to do with marketing of the product overseas. So yes EXcelerators will soon (and in some instances already <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> ) be renamed to the HOTHEAD line of coils.

you could say some "test marketing" with some of the "Hot Head" and Ferret names used. I am not certain if they are going to make a total switch-over or not.
I wouldn't be surprised if JW came on here soon to clarify it.
What I know is that the decal used shouldn't make any difference in performance! <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">

I'm using the 14" Excelerator and so far I really enjoy it. I bought the larger coil mostly for ground coverage and boy can you cover some territory with that monster. Took a bit to get used to the weight, though. I had it at DIV I and I plan on using it at DIV II.

Glad to see JW once again came through for you. A Decal by any other name...
The current Excelerators are Double D Design. The Hot Heads which pre-dated the newer Excelerator design are concentric based.
