Labor Day w/e: Old lead and UGLY silver !

I got out to an old farm field Friday evening - only had a couple hours so I focused on one section. The mosquitoes were THICK. I applied a good amount of OFF and reapplied a couple times - still got the crap stung out of me!
I found five lead ball shot - two dropped and three fired. Two buttons - one flat and the other a "domed/smooth" two-piece (military cuff?).
Also found a thin copper, slightly smaller than a LC, can't make out any features. I've found a number of these over the years and I'm not sure what they are.
Sunday afternoon I went to a park that I'd hit a number of times over the years. A tree had come down with the hurricane and I wanted to scan the area where the tree had been removed (only a couple wheats). I figued, it was late, I'm here, why don't I just poke around. I was focused on deep readings.
Popped out a small silver from about 7+ inches. It was just a whisper of a "flutey" signal. At first I thought it was a 1/2 reale. After I washed it, it "became" a worn seated dime 1875. There is a small indentation like someone had tried to punch a hole through it. About 30 feet away I got another fluety whisper and from about 8 inches popped out an odd shaped piece of what looked like silver - I just had a "gut" that it was some kind of coin.
When I washed it the only thing I could read was "of America" and thankfully a date of 1897. Its a flattened Barber dime! (maybe someone had put it on the railroad track - I remember doing that as a kid). The last coin was a deep war nickel with a corrosion dimple in Jefferson's head 1944P.
Thanks for sharing. Bruce in Ct.
