No problem with detecting Labadee, Haiti or any of the beaches we saw or visited in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel. Only detected less than 2 hours on Labadee on their smallest less crowded beach. Was too busy doing other fun stuff with my wife and friends. Here is the ring .... old, worn, and unmarked, but the right color for 18kt. It's a small ring.

Labadee had two or three much larger, more busy beaches which I'm certain would have been more productive .... just too much other fun stuff to do.
