Went back to the Confederate Campsite area from 1863 in Southern LA. We're in the area for sure. Went into the woods looking for the campsite itself near the Bayou but it was soooo hot and didnt work out ! Anyway, got a few more finds today near the large oaks... Will be a while before we get a chance to come back to this area but really enjoying this location. THANKS for looking. CCH

My word CCH, You guys are really finding some fantastic relics. I love to see those musket balls rescued. Have you swung your coil around the base of those old oak trees? I can picture soldiers resting there and possibly items falling out of their pockets or them falling asleep and laying down under the cool shade. Send some of that warm weather this way... We've still got a pile of snow in the front where Larry shoveled it off the drive.

Oh, I forgot about your kind of refreshments in LA :drinking:.......... to you. We only take water. Maybe we're doing it wrong? Love the video as always and HH, Nancy

Nancy,
LOL. It is getting pretty hot down here so a cold 'adult' beverage never hurts. (FYI - one is my limit!) This spot is awesome IMHO ; especially since it is only 10 mins from my house and the land owner has granted me unlimited hunting permission. Life is good  Thanks for all your comments.

I know that I post a good bit when compared to others but I simply enjoy sharing my experiences and Cajun culture with others.
