Kudos to Tim Mallory and First Texas

As you may know Streak has been drumming up support for a supplemental manual/DVD from First Texas for the F75. I emailed Tim Mallory at First Texas regarding the possibility of this at 5:51 p.m. this afternoon and at 6:05 I received a very courteous and informative reply from Tim. I have heard some say that First Texas' customer service was lacking but if this is any indication of the way they do business all I can say is color me impressed.

It was, here is the message that he sent:

"We are working on this and will let you know.
We appreciate your support on the F75.
We are very excited about this detector and have many other exciting products in the pipeline.
Stay tuned and we will let you know how we intend to address technical literature regarding the F75 and future models.

Best Regards,

Tim "

Sounded great up to "including future models"How about One book/DVD for EACH new model I like the KISS theory myself

I believe 'em! Some of the moves First Texas has been making lately have been impressive to say the least! Hiring Dave Johnson, hitting the ground running with the T-2 and now the F-75. When there were "concerns" about support issues, what happens? Mike Scott gets hired, who no doubt totally understands the different level of support the "high end" hobbyists desire (being a "high end" user himself). This company is, to say the least, being extremely responsive to the wants of the hobby.

When I read things like We are very excited about this detector and have many other exciting products in the pipeline. I can't help but get kinda tingly all over! :bouncy:

I finally got my F75 today have to say I am impressed with the feel of it. As for the manual, I would have liked to seen them at least put screen illustrations in the manual. I know I have the actual machine sitting here. But when reading the manual it kind of hard having the machine up against you looking at the screen while reading the manual about settings and features. Just would be nice to have a layout of it in the manual for more ease.
