For some fine customer service!
As some of you know, I had to send my X75 back in, as it developed a problem. I got a call from Mike Scott today (a hell of a nice guy...I've detected with him before)wanting to know a bit more about the problem, as they were not able to isolate it. Not two hours after Mikes call, I got a call from the technician, telling me that because they couldnt find the problem right away, they were sending me a new machine right out, to make sure I had no further problems. Not thats customer service! I've only ever had one other manufacturer bend over backwards like that the make sure the customer was satisfied.(TCD). My hat is off to first Texas, and Mike Scott for some outstanding service!!. looking forward to getting the new one out in the field... Streak!

I really believe First Texas is very serious about improving all aspects of their operation. With Mike Scott over there now, we're already seeing a more "personal" touch to customer support.

got another call from Mike today, and they were finally able to reproduce the fault I sent it in for. Now at least I know I wasnt crazy. :) :) They are still sending me a replacement machine though, as it may take a bit to find out exactly what is wrong. Eagerly waiting for it to arrive so I can see how it stacks up to my old one. mine may have had a problem from day one, which if so... means most of my testing didnt mean squat! Guess I'm just gonna have the start over!! :) :) :) Streak!

It wouldnt GB. Not in fast grab, OR manually.you'd run it all the way up to 99(the GB), and would still get a negative response. did this twice before, but seemed to cure itself. Last time it just seemed to do it and stay that way. Naturally when it got to the repair center, it Gb'd just fine! Fortunately though, they WERE able to get it to act up after they mailed my replacement unit, but as far as I know, havent found the actual reason why it did it in the first place. I strongly suspect the coil, but it may be any number of things. I'm glad they took the trouble to call me about it before doing anything, or I may have gotten it just sent back to me unrepaired. thats the difference in GREAT service, and so-so service. First Texas lists pretty high with me right about now! :) :) Streak!
