Kruzer Wall Charger

Not sure what charger adapter plug came with your Kruzer.
If you didn't get the charger w/plug for US/Canada wall outlets and rec'd the European version. There is a quick fix posted by a UK facebook poster.
Just remove the plug portion on the charger and find your self a two pin 110 volt power cord, such as those found on laptop computer AC/DC power supplies.
Then you'll be ready to use the charger.

That’s a good idea. I also received he European version and realized that an iApple iPad charger brick Is nearly identical. However, the voltages are different. I just took off the European charger and substituted the North American prongs from my iPad charger. They fit perfectly.

Consider that a second alternative. I happened to have a few lying around, but I think you can pick up 3rd party IPad charging brick for like $14 on Amazon.

Thanks for the info. That will come in handy at some point down the road.

I really don't like having the Euro style charger with the US adapter plug. It hangs down off the wall when charging and just seems a little kludgey. I'll see if I can find a 110v cord hanging around and give that a shot. I'm sure I've got one somewhere.

Think I have one cord like that on an old electric razor.
I also saw some on a popular wed site for sale for $ 5 to $ 7.

I am currently charging mine in the upright position so the US adapter stays on when charging. I will look for both options.

Thanks.

No idea why they don't include the North America piece that slides into the copied Apple charger? That said, I slide he North American wall outlet piece off of my Apple iPad charger, removed the European plug from the Kruzer charger, and oddly, even though you'd simply think it was a solid connection, when I tried to use it to charge my phone, the phone wigged out.

Not sure what was going on there, but when I put the phone on the iPad charger it worked just fine.

I can't think of a single electronic product that ships to North America with European charger and a North American adapter to snap onto it. I love Makro detectors but I'm just saying nobody else does that. No offense to the Makro folks but that's just not business as usual as we're used to it.

Got my Kruzer today with the Makro pinpointer. I was wondering if I had to go buy a power cord for it. Was super surprised that the proper plug adapter came with it for the North American outlets! This machine is nicely built and very solid.
