Kruzer Fe volume

If I set my Fe tone break at 28, will the Fe Volume affect all targets from 0-28 or only the targets 0-15?

Hi,

There is no "setting" for Fe Tone break

Just FE Volume or Tone Break.

Do I assume you meant Tone Break (T. Break)

And you expanded the Iron zone from 15 cutoff to 28 cutoff

From reading the Manual - You will have the Iron tone or Low Tone between - zero and 28 now.

I don't know what mode you are in - Gen, 2 tone, 3, tone or 4 tone.....but the Iron tone is the same in most if not all modes

You can test it easily with a Nail

I want to set the first tone break at 28. My question is: If I now set the Fe Vol to 0, will that silence all of the targets from 0-28 or only the iron targets 0-15? In other words, does the Fe Vol only affect iron targets, or all target in the first tone break. Hope that is now clearer.

Ok

I put the Multi Kruzer on 4 tone without any adjustments and verified a nail grunted Iron around 5 ID
I took a modern Alum Pull Tab and it came in medium tone around 28 ID
Then I Set Iron Audio to zero and swept the nail - no low grunt.

Then I set the T. Break to 30 (since the Pull Tab was at 28 I when higher) and the Pull Tab did not make a sound

So what the two settings silence anything under the 30.

CR

Thank you for taking the time to test it.

For example, say the Kruzer has 20 segments for iron....then the FE volume will only adjust the volume of the 01-20 numbers designated for iron. Setting the FE volume to zero, wont discriminate it out, you just wont hear any target IDing 20 or under. Adjusting the 1st tone break wont expand or narrow the iron range. This is typical, but correct me if Im wrong....I dont have a Kruzer. Thanks

It won't expand or narrow the actual iron range as that is pre set but if you do set the first tone break past the iron range and say into the foil range and have a fe volume setting of zero, neither iron or foil will be heard.

Thats a neat feature. Raising the Disc reduces depth...so if you can reduce the volume (or silence it) of a movable 1st tone and go into diffrent metal ranges, it would keep the depth. This wouldnt per say be a true FE Volume....still genius idea. Thanks

No issues with mine , even with a bad wrist and elbow. Yeah, must have been the wife...or buyers remorse......or he really wanted another machine. Doesn't really matter, some one else will enjoy it.

Said he was used to Eurotek Pro which is very similar s rod shape to the Kruzer. I had one and have the Multi Kruzer to me very similar ergonomics.

I could care less if he sold or did not sell. I am however very interested in this topic Kruzer Fe Volume. I think someone has hit on some valuable info. here. I would like to hear more from those who have experimented with this as well as the concept of raising discrimination to 16 to restart greatest depth possible as in 0 disc.
