Koss equalizer

Just read about an equalizer called the "Koss EQ 50 3 band stereo equalizer"( $20). Supposedly you can change the tone by "uping" the bass. Anyone out there tried this thing? I'll probably spring for $20 just to try it but I was curious as to what others have to say.
Thanks
Jim

Confused to why to want the tone to change. Once you get years of those tones in your ears the last thing I want is to change them.
But maybe that's me. I really hate to have to learn that process all over again. Now if it brings up lower signals then I am all for it.

I have one... I've felt the extra little box and cables was more harm then help. It does increase target volume, but only the volume of targets you hear, it won't make the depth any better but can enhance those whispers a bit. It will still be a whisper, just a louder whisper. Changing the tone by adjusting treble and bass didn't seem to help much.
