Koronus Crusade

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
The sky was a blackened void. Foreboding, flush with evil . Not a ray of sunlight nor hope permeated earthward. The Viceroy Knight of the 3rd Degree felt in his heart that now was the time to wage war on that which had invaded the Kingdom of Nova. Going to his steed he noted that even his beast, Nogo Sojo was darkened. It's armor held no shine.
The knight knew from where this darkness had descended . Dawning his suit bearing the many badges of past crusades the knight could not shake the feeling that his solitary quest to rid the darkness and secure the necessary tribute of quota for his king was but an errand of the court jester. The knight however fought back this over powering feeling of uneasiness. In his chest his heart swelled with the pride of his House.
As he approached the lifeless barren lands of the Koronus Frontier a light mist did fall. His faith in the quest was not dampened. The battle line was drawn and the knight drew his beloved Quota Guru No#2 from its resting place. A boisterous blue veil enveloped his weapon of choice. A veil that both protected and blessed the quota slayer. A silent prayer was uttered thanking his Hunny of Bunny for the foresight of the recyclable veil!
The V.K. of the 3rd Degree swung his weapon with an authority honed by many years of battle. The hideous soldiers of Koronus fell at his feet with their treasures finding their way into the knights purse. As he fought on the knight weakened. Old war wounds and being long in the tooth thwarted the soldier of the kingdom but not before rays of sunlight littered the field of conflict. Amongst the treasures a key to unlock the "Virus of Furiousness" was captured. A door that the knight with all his might swore would never be reopened. Two spoonful of sins also found their way into his trophy bag. The knight staggered as he slipped on the field of conquest. He swung back valiantly and captured the token. One used for sin by the inhabitants of Kornus!

The knight was spent. It was all he could do to mount his trusty steed and venture homeward. Saddened in that his quest for full tribute of quota was not accomplished but proud in that the darkness was now shredded. Fourteen short of the required payment of servitude to his beloved monarch.
Meandering on the trail not usually taken the knight stopped at the wizards hut to purchase an elixir to release his pain. At the purveyor of spirits our most noble of knights put forth coins of the realm to secure the fine juices of dream inducing grapes. These items however did nothing to diminish his deepest feeling of pain. Only the loving embrace of his bethrowed could cure that.
With great effort the knight secured his steed for the evening and entered his humble abode. Hobbling across to the room used for cleansing he was greeted by his most beloved who grasped at his effigy's presence. For the knight was bent over, full of debris from the battlefield and smelling most repugnant! A heavenly embrace was not to be....at this time! After a cleansing the Viceroy Knight of the 3rd Degree sat in his favorite chair in the great hall of viewing whilst the chair did heat up and give off a most wonderful vibration. The tribute could wait!

The "Angel of Nova" was broken, sad but appeased with her head held down in thought and prayer that Koronus' influence would not spread.
