Knights Ferry Covered Bridge

I took a trip up north earlier this year to visit this covered bridge, which just so happens to be the longest east of the Mississippi. There is still a small community down the road by the same name, and the bridge definitely helps keep it alive. As you can see from the photo that shows the river upstream, this part of the river is quite rocky, which makes it a rafting magnet. Other than the bridge there is also a mill located next to the bridge, as well as the powerhouse building, which used the water from the Stanislaus River to power it.

The park where the bridge and powerhouse/ mill are located is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Hope yall enjoy.
