Kid's Gold Ring

Treasure Mike

New member
Went to a local park after work today and found about $2.00 in clad and a 1 Peso coin. In the grass near a bench I got a 6-10 hit on the MXT with the Bigfoot coil. Down about an inch I find this girl's 10K 1.6 gram gold ring. It has very small green and red stones. It is marked 10K MEX on the inside. I took the pictures in the field so the ring still has some dirt on it. Thanks for looking! Mike

Nice!

I have found a few rings similar to the one you have there. What do you suppose the value of it is, and how would one go about selling it?

It is worth about about $13.00 as scrap gold. I send my gold jewelry to Midwest Refiners. They pay 94% of the value of the gold. This ring weighs only 1.6 grams and 10K gold is about $8 a gram or so depending on the spot price of gold at the time they process your order. The higher the karat value the more pure gold is in the item. 10K is 41 % gold- 14K is about 59%- 18K is 75% etc. Hope this helps. Mike

Very nice ring. It's always nice to see any jewelry finds. Big or small. Thanks for sharing.
