Kid-Ace 250-dry sand??

GoldenGirl

Hi, y'all were so kind to advise me on the two identical beach detectors I've gotta buy.
I've got another question.
Will an Ace 250 (have one) work okay on dry sand? It's for a growing 12 year old and I'd rather not buy three beach machines at one time if the 250 will work on dry sand until she's big enough to handle a 5# machine.
Comments appreciated.

It's an ok dry sand detector although its not very deep but I 12 year old won't mind :)

Just don't set the sensitivity too high as it will false a lot after 3 or 4 bars, depending on the salt content of the beach sand.

I is a perfect choice for price and features. You can not go wrong. It will work well in the dry sand, also the in land sites. It is a lot of bang for the buck.
