Hit the farm field today that I’ve been hammering for years..after several hours of digging deep iron I squeaked out this little beauty... condition wise it’s probably one of the nicest I’ve dug here... nothing else post worthy...been a very slow minimally productive fall, but I’ll take it...was using equinox 800... coin was only about3” deep..[attachment 370145 5EC5DABE-B52C-4F44-8945-03943230B8DE.jpeg][attachment 370146 22777400-1084-4BEA-92B9-68E18BF7D982.jpeg][attachment 370147 23A77C32-72E2-47F3-8D0D-7DBB7AABAF11.jpeg]

Thanks Mark..I was in park 1 mult freq almost all day..was digging up too much Big iron and small aluminum so I switched to 5hz I hopes of hitting high conductors .. it paid off after about an hour... it’s an incredible challenge at this site due over 200 years iron chunks of everything, coke, hot rocks ,and bits of aluminum and whatnot...I’ve even tried the 6” coil here last week which was even worse at sounding off on the big deep iron but I really shouldn’t expect different as ratio of good stuff to rubbish gets worse after every hunt..lol... auto ground balance reads anywhere between 35 and 55.. I hunt in disc as even the areas I think are target free give me that “ bump, bump, bump” sound with every swing, drives me nuts after 5 minutes.. the highest sensitivity setting I can go and still stay stable is 20.. this place has a high power line about a 1/4 mile away..I never have any trouble with emi but it could have some impact in addition to all the other factors... I use to hunt this place with the sov gt which handles most of these issues quite well and truly a pleasure to use .. it just seems like the equinox requires that perfect set up to even stand a chance in this place.... but it’s all part of the learning process I guess...
