Key date coin question

http://numismedia.com/fmv/prices/mrcdim/pricesgd.shtml

It all depends on which key date coin you're talking about. Your 1921 Mercury Dime in
Good-4 condition lists at $60.00 in the August 2013 issue of Coins magazine that I just
received in the mail today. Same coin in Extra Fine-40 is $540 and in Mint State-60
$1,150. A 1901-S Barber Quarter in the same grades lists at $5,200, $31,000 and
$41,500. A 1921 Mercury Dime is a nice find in my opinion, whatever the grade.
Congratulations!

yes key date coins are always worth something!!!! you'd be surprised at how bad shape some on ebay are and still people bid. Not all collectors can afford high grade coins, so there will always be a market for lower grade key date coins...ALWAYS

like the other guys said, that's a very nice coin and absolutely has cash value! That's #3 on the rare mercury dime list. I wouldn't say that's a poor looking coin judging from the pics. Mercury's are so collected and popular too so that adds value.

About 30 years ago I was in a coin shop and the owner had a 1921 Merc Dime in his case about the same condition as yours. I was telling him that you usually see them in AG-Good or in very high grades. You hardly ever see them in a nice Fine of Very Fine. I left his shop and an hour later I found a 1921 Merc in about Very Fine condition. I still have it and still remember that day. A 1921 Dime is a good find in any condition and there is always someone looking for one.
