1921 S. Stupid patina ruined it. It has great detail too. Just wish it didn't get discolored :thumbdown:

Nice find, regardless of the corrosion. Buffalo nickels, well, actually ALL older nickels dug around here look like crap. I've dug my share of them.... but never a 21S. Congrats! HH Randy

As a side note.... and I ain't recommending anyone do this..... but I run my nickels through a rock tumbler. Just be careful what type of solution you mix in it or they come out pink. Shiny, but pink!

Great find, too bad the design of the buffalo wasn't that well thought out which makes finding a nice a very rare find indeed. The detail on your is really good :)

Use lime-away and soak it for a day or two in the concentrated liquid, it works very very well at taking away all the corrosion.
