Kevin Reilly of Reilly's Treasured Gold

Gypsy Huntress

New member
I just had a call from the Bulgarian. Kevin Reilly died this afternoon after a short battle with cancer. Many of us in South Florida frequently visited his shop not only to chat and swap stories, but to buy metal detectors, various equipment and of course his scoops which was made at his shop. No other details are available at this early time.

I had the pleasure to know Kevin for 14 years and he did a lot for the Gold Coast Treasure Club and the South Florida Treasure Hunters Club of which he was a member of both. I learned a lot from him about metal detecting. He will be missed.

Kevin was one of a kind and for all of those that had the chance to meet him or even talk to him over the years, you can back that up. He was always willing and ready to spend a few minutes talking treasure and shared what he had learned over the years freely.

I remember a few trips to Florida and getting out with Kevin . . . willing to share productive sites and techniques that worked.

He was a talented metal worker and many, many hunters use his equipment . . . . . and it held up for years!

I did a profile on Keven a few years back for Treasure Facts magazine and I will see if I can post it here for those that might want to read it . . . . .

You'll be missed . . . . . . .
