heres my finds for last weeked., the more i use it the more i like it.

yes thats a 10k fine gold chain

about $13 in clad

That is some nice finds,

You are doing great with the Compadre. What kind of sites are you hunting and how low is you discrimination setting?

You had to have the discrimination set really low to get that fine gold necklace.:detecting:

tabman

You should show the junk too. That gives a clearer picture of what it took to make those great finds. Some people might mistakenly think that that is all you found on that hunt. :lmfao:

Great idea Dan I will get some pics of the junk I find as well

The day I found that fine chain I was at a spot on a field that was too quiet so i set the disc just a hair above all metal just to see what was there , now I run at that setting most of the time

I also bought a new set of noise canceling headphones, much better tone quality

Tabman I was hunting playing field sidelines and at a few different locations as some fields became in use I moved on to another site

I started hunting "grass" because the wood chips were getting picked over by other hunters and I was'nt finding a much as I normally do .
Now I hunt wood chips if the fields are in use

great idea Dan

you do have to dig lots of junk to get the good stuff, heres Some of the junk

the last pic is of some .22 cal cases i found in a playground beside the soccer field .....:yikes:

Now am i comforted , that i see the trash , I don't like those 22 shells but I know if you disc those out forget the small chains and even some gold .

CladCanada great hunt! I see your past machine had displays, how do you like that little display less Compadre? It sure doesn't seem to be hampering your detecting efforts at all!

The ace was useless on our coins the teknetics machine was much better ,but the compadre is "it". For our clad and jewelry

I'd have a Tesoro with a display (Deleon). Maybe someday

The Deleon is next on my list. It is pretty neat to see the great finds you are making with a $160 detector and a pro pointer.

Yup I love this "toy" machine ,lol

It's been less than a year and I have found $460 just in gold not inc clad or silver925

Hard to think busy park season is still ahead,I would like to hit. $500 by sept !

CladCanada that is just awesome on your find totals. You have it figured out, it doesn't make sense to spend $1500 on a clad stabber that can't find jewelry any better than a Compadre. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, that $1500 detector doesn't have a life time warranty. Gotta love Tesoro!

$1500 I could get a water machine and another detector I can change coils on (cleans weep). I really want to hit the sports fields this fall

For now my $160 is paying off

Thats some great hunting and an outstanding ROI! :clapping: Good write up and pics...those gold chains in the grass have got to be one of the toughest targets to hear, let alone take the time to dig, since they sound like trash...very well done!:beers:
Mud

Thanks Mud:geek:

My good God. You are doing a great job with that thing. Keep up the good work...KEN. IND

Thanks for convincing me to get a compadre Ken

Please dont tell everyone how great the compadre really is. There will not be any thing left for the rest of us to find. I have hunted the tot lots in my town so much, you have to run below all metal just to find a tiny nail. Keep up the fine work you are doing. Even in all metal you can tell if it is a coin... KEN. Ind.
