Kellyco Wants Your TREASURE ???

Just read letter from Kellyco . They want your gold and valuables .also battlefield relics, for theyre showcases ,in order to sell more detectors to people viewing THEYRE Treasure and fine gold jewelry .For this donation ,you will get nothing but be mentioned as a finder in the museum . I don't see any mention of trading expensive items painstakingly found for any kellyco items ,they have for sale . I think I will pass on theyre request - THE NAME IS TUCKER, NOT SUCKER !

Maybe they'll offer to trade you one of their throw-in packages if your gold ring is big enough. You'll never know unless you ask!

They are not asking for your first born child. How many CW hunters have a bucket of shot or many duplicate finds they would be willing to part with to have their name in the finds case at the largest MD shop in the land?

If they want the stuff, they have the money, to buy.........................plenty of guys who found the stuff can use the money...........
Imagine going to the museum and finding souvenir bullets for sale in a huge box, because they have way too many.....at $10 each, that were donated for display, they just did not have room.
Oh, yeah, its about time for a Kellyco Relic Auction. Hey, Doglus, isn't that your donated buckle--lot #299?
There are more deserving places that could use a donation.
I'd rather you send all your coins, gold, silver relics to me, I would be proud to display them................................:detecting:

I agree ,and I don't know about some people ,but if Im successful at metal detecting its because of long hours and hard work . Yes we could all use the extra money these items are worth. A lot of us detect for hobby and monetary gain to supplement our retirement income .To "donate" these valuable jewllery items and valuable civil war relics ,would not be sensible. Another case of the rich getting richer .

You know it seems like everybody likes to put Kellyco down for one reason or another. They're just like any other company out there trying to be successful and provide jobs for their employees. I myself have had a couple minor issues with them over the years but they always straightened it out quickly. If you're against donating your finds then don't. The way I see it with them being down in Fla. they may not have the Civil War areas like in other parts of the country for instance. I'd be willing to bet that they get plenty of people donating for the museum. I'd love to visit sometime and you know you would too. So instead of all the negative try to find something positive to add. That's just my 2c.

This could be a nice draw to those visiting Kelleyco as long as they are thinking long term. Just remember the ole saying ONE MANS TRASH......... we could see a new addition to Ripplies....... longest pull tab chain.

Well said Surfman. I have been to Kellyco a number of times. They have always treated me fairly, more that fair on a couple of occasions. Had a 17" SEF coil that went bad after about nine months and they exchanged it for a new one no questions asked. A friend had a waterproof headphone problem with the pair of phones he purchased from Minelab direct a while back. Again, they exchanged them for him with no problem. Like any company there are issues, but they usually will work with you. If you do get the chance to go they have a nice store with a lot of coins and artifacts displayed.

If I ever get to visit, and I do hope to someday, I'll end up in the poor house and probably in a lot of trouble. End up spending more money then at Cabela's. And that'd be doing something. Someday, if I'm ever down there, I'll check it out. Thanks, Joe
