Kellyco service

Hi Just thought i should share with all the people on the MXT web site what a delight it is to deal with JW at Kellyco.
I have purchased a MXT and a Whites Suf Pro detector over the last couple of years along with a number of different coils.
Recently i had difficulty with one of the coils and posted a "please help question" on this web site, JW contacted me regarding my concern and has been great in resolving my problem .
Not only does JW look after his customers in the initial sale of the Kellyco products , but the after sales service has been fantastic.
Thank you JW for all of your help it is really appreciated.
I would highly recommend Kellyco ( JW ) for anyone looking to buy any detector equipment , thanks mate.

Kellyco has good service, fast shipping, etc., but when I bought my MXT I bought it from a local dealer and will never mail order again. Kellyco includes a lot of extras but for the most part they are cheap junk. The digging tools I received in the past are Made in China trowels that would only be good in sand. The aprons are nice but the local lumber yard has good aprons for a buck.
My local dealer really had some great input on my detector selection and gave me a price that would rival Kellyco. A big plus is he and I are now hunting partners! I had a problem with the new MXT during the first hunt, the headphone jack messed up so that when the plug was removed the sound would not go to the speaker. Not a big deal but the machine was replaced that day with a new one. That wouldn't happen with Kellyco or dealing directly with Whites no matter how good their service is.
Another big plus with using a local dealer is you are going to meet other MD people and that makes for some interesting talk and hunting buddies. No one likes to hunt alone and I have made some great new friends at my MD dealer.
I must say that Kellyco is an excellent seller. They offer great prices and quick service on quality products but that one on one that you get from a local dealer has a lot going for it. If you don't have a local dealer then Kellyco is a great place to buy your detector from. I just wish they would do head to head comparisons of various models instead of say that every detector you look at is excellent. A local dealer doesn't mind talking about features and what you might expect from all the models he or she sells and wants to sell you a model that will be best suited for you.

For the most part I agree. I've bought several items from Kellyco, and they have always been helpful, nice and prompt. They are a good place to buy name-brand detectors not available locally.

My only real irritation with Kellyco is that they also sell certain products of dubius or even spurious value. I'm referring mainly to their "Long Range Locators" and such. I finally got one of their sales people to admit that the LRL's are nothing more than dowsing rods, which is fine if they were marketed at dowsing rods, but you can get a set of dowsing rods for MUCH LESS than two or three thousand dollars!! These are hyped up as an electronic device which they surely are not! A couple bent coat hangers would do just a good (or bad) a job.

I will continue to buy from Kellyco, but only name brands with warranty.

I agree if you have a close and knowledgeable Whites dealer go for it. Here are my dealers from the official Whites site.

HOBBY TOWN USA - Orland Park 8.7 miles
They know nothing about detectors. I couldn't even buy a lower rod for my extra coil. They didn't even have one each of the Whites detectors. I had to explain why I would want an extra rod. They didn't have excessories so much for same day service. I certainly knew more then them.

BLACK OAKS TREASURE SUPPLY 15.1 miles
Please call for appointment
No storefront, or hours. No same day service either.

FREEMANS SPORTS INC 21.7 miles It's not a detecting shop so you might as well be buying at Walmart. While you are there you could can pick up a new rod and reel.

ELECTRONIC EXPLORATION 18.1 miles A knowledgeable owner. Odd hours- yes, storefront- no, large stock- no, easy to find and get to-no. He has to meet you in the garage and for me this doesn't let me hang around and ask questions.

So as I said if you are lucky to have a dealer with a good stock, knowledge, and time to spend with you, consider yourself lucky. Rob
