KellyCo MP series?

Has anybody bought and or used one of Kelly Co's MP3 or MPX detectors? If so, what are you impressions? Good, fair, lousy, what? Any info on them appreciated. Thanks.

I no nothing about them but the 200 - 300 dollar price range will get you
A Tesoro , Fisher , Garrett or others that hit that price range .
And i do know thy are some good detectors.

Somehow a Chinese detector doesn't instill confidence...in performance/longevity and service when you need it. You can buy a detector of better quality from an American company for the same price..........and help keep an american working.

Buy American... White's has excellent quality and they're very helpful... Sorry..but most anything that I've bought that was made in China is now in the trash 'cause it didn't work as was expected.....JMHO..HH Jack from NH

My brother bought a new Chinese built MP5 from Kellyco as one of their Bongo sale detectors. It is fairly deep for a beep and dig detector because of its 10" coil. Unfortunately once you discriminate out such things as iron and pulltabs, its depth on coins gets cut in half. Luckily my brother only paid a $100 for his MP5, anything more is a ripoff. His is now a dust collector...

Chinese junk!!! Stay away!

I had a mp3 and it was really impresive. It could read through nails(3 large nails) and still read a silver dime under. It had good depth.
I could get a easy 10" on a silver dime, but it is built horrible.Wobbly-cheap rod setup. Not to mention real cheap connectors ect.It was the only detector I have had break and not fixed.
I really have to say its depth in disc mode was great. But it did hate minerlazied soil and hot rocks in pinpoint mode real bad.

I paid $50 bucks and if I found one for around $50 bucks I might buy another. If i did I would modify it greatly and then maybe make a ok turn on and go machine.
Oh did I mention it was real heavy and unbalanced-the coil was stupid heavy.

I honestly could not say bad about its depth really surprised me and how well it worked in trashy areas. But for the going price on kellyco your WAY better off with a tesoro machine(There built 10x better). If you found one for $50 bucks or less go for it-but then expect ot do some heavy mod's to get it balanced and not so wobbly.
