keeping the excallibur II 800 clean and happy.

If you are hunting in salt water rinse the machine off after each use. Take the lower shaft out and clean both connections. I myself use Armor-All wipes and wipe everything and let dry. Saltwater mist and sand will actually bond the upper and lower shafts to the point of making you do and say things you normally would not do. Freshwater just wipe it down good. I also use a small paintbrush to brush away any grit and loose stuff around the connections. Take care of your machine and it will take care of you. This works for me I'm sure there will be ideas coming. HH :minelab:

dielectric grease for the battery contacts and silicone spray for the rubber and plastic pieces. Wash the whole unit with fresh water first and let completely dry , before using either product.
