Keeping my CZ-70 Pro

Hi,

I recently had my CZ-70 Pro up for sale. Then I got a chance to try the ID Edge.

I'm not going to comment on the Edge other than to say I just pulled my CZ off the market. Fisher has discontinued it, and using the Edge made me realize what a gem my CZ is. The CZ-70 Pro has a backlight, and independent notch discrimination, and best off all, the 5" coil. I panicked when I realized that Fisher discontinuing the model meant I'd never get a brand new CZ-70 Pro again. And I realized I'd really regret it if I sold it.

I've got an X-Terra 50, which I really like, but I do a lot of wading, and the cable on the coil is too short on the X-Terra to get me into deeper water. I can chestmount my CZ and get it out where the X-Terra won't go. And the X-Terra does not have a small coil yet.

I've also got a White's MXT that I really like, but it also makes for a poor wading unit, with the fixed control box design. And I cannot notch out certain trash items with the MXT like I can my CZ.

I want to do a lot of water detecting this summer, and for those times I do not want to actually get into the water with my submersible detectors the CZ is going to be my main chestwader unit.

I'm sure glad I came to my senses, and I hope I have learned my lesson. The only machine that may have been better than my CZ-70 Pro was my old CZ-5. The CZ is a keeper!
