keep it off the ground.

got the gold racer, nice machine well made only flaw I didn't like was putting the back end on the ground and having it fall over, call me fussy or what ever :bouncy: anyway racked my brain for a fix so I could still use the back cover and get the back off the ground and then it came to me, well it took a bit LOL ,

so I took the arm cuff off the Tesoro and it fits perfect between the back box and the hand grip, and now the back is 1.5" off the ground and I can still use the cover on the back, and it even has a winged keel which will stop a bit of bushes hitting my arm and its not in the way my arm doesn't touch the Tesoro cuff which is on upside down, didn't want to drill holes so just used a bit of silicone to hold it in place so I can take it off if need be to sell it etc..

am happy with my mornings work  and it does work !!

I've done the same thing. I used an extra arm cuff from a Fisher F75. It holds the Racer about 1/4" off the ground. I line all my arm cuffs with sheep skin, cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

very good :clapping:

maybe they will make us one from the factory for being so ingenious?? :clapping:

yeah I didn't like the idea of the electronics on the ground and with the pointy coils 10 x 5.5 it just wants to tip over I don't like that either like to keep my machines as safe as possible don't have an endless supply of cash to buy new ones all the time :sadwalk:

so good job on your fix too !

I purchased this stand on ebay from rods by plugger ebay store. It works great. The 1" hose clamps are to keep the detector from turning because the stand just snaps over the rod. It keeps the box about six inches off the ground.

I looked at those how does it feel with all that stand at the back of the machine ? doesn't through it out of balance?

thanks again!

AJ

It doesn't weigh hardly anything, so I don't notice any difference. If anything it helps counterbalance the weight of the coil.

Yes 7/8. The one on my Racer I actually purchased for a Whites MXT, and I put it on the Racer instead. I also have one on my Whites MX5 to keep the box off of the ground.
