Katie nails another one...

Took Katie detecting at a wood chip playground. She got 5 quarters, 3 dimes, and some penny's. Then she got a deep signal with the Tesoro. I had to dig it for her, dug through 8 inches of wood chips and a couple inches into the hard clay.

In the first photo you can see something "interesting" in the clay... we didn't know what it was. Looked like the edge of an old coin. Katie broke open the dirt and she couldn't of gotten a better find ~ a heart! What little girl would choose a old silly Morgan silver dollar over a heart? The Jedi strikes again!

I have always been very jealous of "them". You know the ones..... they are the guys that go hunting or fishing with you and they always seem to bag the biggest game or catch the biggest fish. They don't do it once in a while but EVERY time you go out with them. They seem to have been given THE TOUCH. I have friends with metal detectors that are the same way. Put them in the middle of a plowed 40 acre field and they will get all of the cool stuff. I don't consider myself a slouch when it comes to detecting, I've been at it for 35 years and I feel I have a good handle on my abilities and my equipment.

Katie may be one of those people as well. Maybe she has found her niche. I'd take her out as often as she wanted just to see what she'd come up with. I love to see her smile. Now you need to get a silver chain for her and I bet she'll be as proud as a Peacock.
