Katia Gives Up Soviet Gold!!!

I figured with Katia off the East Coast there would be some older targets exposed by the rough surf. I was right! This hefty 7.3 g ring was in one of the low spots on Friday during what was supposed to be low tide. It has a hammer and sickle hallmark in a star with 583 next to it, (which is 14K). I may have left another ring behind in the rough surf. It was too deep to get on the first try, and the waves kept coming faster than I could get the second deeper scoop and the hole just filled in pushing the target deeper..Sorry for those of you who already saw this in the Excal forum!

Neil what sand scoop are you using ? I ran across a few targets I couldn't get to as well I'm looking at getting a larger scoop!
