CAN ANY ONE GIVE ME A REVIEW ON THIS METAL DETECTOR,CAN PICK ONE UP PRETTY CHEAP,BUT I CANT FIND ANY REVIEWS ON THIS,MANLY HUNT SOUTH FLORIDA BEACHES IN AND OUT OF THE WATER,MAINLY LOOKING FOR A GOOD JEWELY AND COIN DETECTOR,THANKS

I own a pulse 8 but it is an older model. I used it very little but the few times I did it worked verrrry deep. I was also using the garrett xl 500 pi which is very similar to the current model, sea hunter II. I used the garrett and was much happier with it. It was easier to use and I got very good at using it. I noticed the new model of the jw fishers is set up with the box on the handle and this may work well for standing up searching in the ocean. If I were buying a detector at this time to hunt in the water standing up just by looking at the jw fishers I would not buy it. I am very impressed by some of the other machines available. I like the reports on the minelab excal. There are lot of reports on the white's water machines to read here and other forums. If I was going to be diving in the ocean I would buy the jw fishers. I think the problem of buying something that is a compromise just because it is low priced may be a false savings. Hard work with a machine you are good at using will pay for itself in a short time. I know this is not the answer you are looking for but since I own a jw fishers I look on this and other sites for threads on the jw fishers, you will find little written on them. Lastly I have to say the jw fishers pulse 8 is a very deep machine. Best to you, Mike.
