since I mostly find old nails and scrap metal I was wondering if you can bring that stuff in and get money for it like you can with aluminum cans.

That's great, I can kill 2 birds with one stone, I can clean up the scrap metal I find from the ground and get something for it, where would I take it to?
Look in the yellow pages for a scrap metal dealer. Most medium to larger towns have at least one.cassiekarimom
