Just wondering

Just wondering how many of you sell some of the silver coins that you find, especially those coins that come out in near mint condition that are key date coins. This seated liberty half dime is near mint to almost uncirculated condition, every detail is still in the dime and a New Orleans mint mark with only 960,900 minted that year, its listed as a key date. This one came out under a sugar cane field row. I'd like to keep it but if the money was good enough I'd probably sell it. Would it be better in a good coin auction? I don't think eBay would bring the best price for this coin.

there are dealers there that will appraise it.
But you need to get two books first: Red Book of Coin Values, and Photograde.
Most dealers use them both. Photograde shows each type of coin in every circulated condition, with a description beneath.
Surprisingly you can often make good money on ebay; but you have to offset that with your costs-its not always worth it.
Also join a local coin club; they can help out a lot in appraisal, and buying/selling.
