over by the river in town there is some woods that has a trail that runs through it, would that be a good place to look? I don't know how long it has been there or if anyone has walked through there lately.
 
If there is a trail that means people have made it.....or bears that will eat you alive. But let's just assume that people made the trail.
I guess the first rule of m.d'ing is to search where people have been.
It only takes an hour to determine if a place is worth searching and it only takes one second to make the find of a lifetime.
Give it a try and let us know how you did.
 
Those sorts of places are always worth a try. You'll always wonder if you don't and you never know about finds until you make them (or not). I'd go for it in a heart beat.
